Leila Mustanoja holds a M.Sc (Econ.) degree from the Helsinki School of Economics and Business Administration. She has served on the executive branch of several non-profit organizations, also as a trustee. She recently left her ten-year tenure as the Executive Director of the Fulbright Center, which administers the bi-national, Finnish-American academic Fulbright exchange program. Leila Mustanoja is a long-term human rights activist. In 1999 she was a visiting scholar at Columbia University in New York. There she wrote a study - "Corporate Ethics and Human Rights, Corporative Profiles; Examination of Motorola and Nokia Codes of Conduct". She teaches business ethics in English at the universities of Joensuu and Helsinki in the foreign students study programs. She frequently lectures on the different aspects of business ethics. Leila Mustanoja is the National Contact in Finland for Transparency International, TI. Berlin-based TI is the only international organization that works solely against corruption and bribery. TI annually publishes the Corruption Perception Index, CPI, which ranks countries according to the perceived level of corruption. Finland has been considered the least corrupted country on this index in the years 2001 and 2002. |
